Finally, free web-based option quotes designed for option investors by option investors. Not only do they have the regular option chains, they also include theoretical value, time value, instrinsic value, the greeks and a difference indicator that tells you how much the option is priced above or below its theoretical value.

The site has an Options Quote Control Panel that lets you decide how many months and what strike prices you would like to view. The quotes load fast and there is a full-screen version for those of us who have small monitors.

The only drawback is the quotes are delayed. Perhaps they will launch real-time ones soon.

One of the best known and most used providers of web site option quotes is the CBOE. This site also contains a very comprehensive options education section as well as market data and information on CBOE indexes and options.

Yahoo! now offers option quotes along with their vast array of other financial data.

To get to the option chain quotes for a stock you must first enter the stock symbol and then click on the "Options" link under "More Info". The quotes system is not spectacular or even out of the ordinary, but it is very conveniently tied in with Yahoo!'s other market data such as insider selling, investor forums, and market news.

North American Quotations offers free stock and option chain quotes from their web site. Their quote system is fast, but lacks some of the advanced features of other quote sites.

INO contains stock and options quotes, stock screens, financial news, and discussion groups. Getting an option chain is a 2 click process.

HarrisDirect (formerly DLJ direct), an online brokerage firm, provides free delayed stock and options quotes to non-customers as well as a comprehensive collection of market news and data. Getting multiple option chain quotes is time consuming though, as the site was not designed for quick quote access.

The Pacific Stock and Options Exchange offers a stock and options quote service that is very similar to the CBOE quotes. With PSE, you first must pull up the near month options page before requesting the full options chain.
